Late Night Ramblings

I was sitting here trying to think of what my next post should be about, when I realized that you guys don't know very much about me still. I think I might be a little to formal with my blog, so I am going to give a little bit of an insight to things I thinking about, I am just going to let it flow. Here goes

My son is starting kindergarten tomorrow and I have very mixed emotions about it. On one hand I am excited for him to be gone part of the day and have time for myself, as well as to start to have more independence for himself. The other part of me is just sad he is growing up and I know after this point nothing will ever be the same. Another thing is just realizing my own age and how quickly time is going by. I am by no means old, I mean I'm only 24, almost 25, but I will hang on to 24 until the last second. I mean to be honest, it is scary for me realizing that even though there is so much of my life that I already have figured out, there is still SO much that I want to do and achieve. My son starting kindergarten just reminds me that life goes by fast and I need to start making more of my dreams come true (sorry to sound cheesy). Now I am not saying that I am not happy with my life, I have an amazing life. Yet, I also know that there is a million things that I haven't seen or experienced yet and it could get even better. Some of that is due to money, I have never had an abundance of that. Other things are due to having kids young but that doesn't mean that it is impossible, it just makes it a bit harder. The flat out truth though is that some of it is just pure laziness and lack of motivation.  I really like writing on my blog but I haven't even been able to stick to posting once a week. I do have a lot on my plate, with raising two kid,s working and a home to take care of. Still there are times when I just sit and look at other blogs, or watch YouTube videos and think of how talented and how awesome everyone else is and get a bit down on myself. Obviously that doesn't help anything. So here and now I am going to set some goals for myself that I hope will achieve by the end of this year.

Goal #1
I would like to have more blog followers, I don't want to put an exact number on it because I don't really care if the number is crazy high but if I could just know that I helped or related to or inspired or  at least put a smile on one persons face (again with the cheesiness) I would be ecstatic about that.

Goal #2
I also would like to be more involved in the blogging and YouTube community. I am not shy in person but I never comment on things or reach out to people and I really should be, because I bet it's nice and I would enjoy it.

Ok I think 2 is a good start. Thanks for reading this if you did, I know it was a bit long. If you do see this comment down below with one goal that you have for yourself, no matter how small or big, I would really enjoy that.

Review: NYX Soft Mate Lip Cream in Copenhagen

Yesterday I went to Ulta and picked up a few things from NYX. I really love the NYX brand, the quality you get for the price is really amazing. My favorite things from them are usually lip products. I picked their lip liner in Currant and the Soft Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen to use together. I have another one of the lip creams in Tokyo that I adore, so I was very excited to try this out.

Unfortunately, I didn't love this color as much as Tokyo. Don't get me wrong it is gorgeous but I found that it was pulling itself off a bit, you can even kind of tell in the photo. After a few hours of wear it was very worn at the edges but thick and weird feeling more in the middle of my lips. I don't know if it was the lip liner I chose to use with it or what but when I tried to touch up it just got worse and I ended up taking it off. I don't know if its just me though so definitely try it for yourself, with a price like that it's worth giving it a shot.

Beauty Bits I've Been Coveting

Hey there! I know I missed my Wednesday deadline but I have just been working a lot and in general busy (lazy too). I discovered Polyvore today (obviously I have been living under a rock) and I made a little collage of the beauty things I would really like to own. It doesn't have the link to the lipsticks but they are from Pretty Zombie Cosmetics and look absolutely amazing, so definitely check those out. I'll be doing another post in a few days to make up for missing Wednesday, probably my skin care routine so check it out.

1: What are you wearing? 

Grey shorts lounge shorts from American Eagle and a white tee. 

2: Ever been in love?

Yes, I am currently, with my husband, Chris.

3: Ever had a terrible breakup?

Not really, I haven't had many boyfriends, but I have only been broken up with once, and at the time I thought it was the worst thing ever. I was 15 though, so no haha.  

4: How tall are you? 

I always say I am 5"4 but in actuality I am about 5"3 1/2

5: How much do you weigh?

I have one tattoo, it is a dandelion on my right should, I forget it's there a lot.

I have 2 holes in each of my ears, and I have had my lip pierced twice, in the same spot, but I wish that I didn't, because I don't wear them anymore and now it's just a scar. Oh well.

One true pairing, right? I don't know, I mean, I really cared that Ron and Hermione got together in the Harry Potter series, and they did. No non fictional characters, that's weird.

A show I can watch over and over is Arrested Development, and I also love me some Property Brothers on HGTV

I love Mumford and Sons, I don't know if I would go as far as favorite though.

Being younger and not having so much responsibility. Also sleep.

Funny story, the other night my son was in bed or so I thought. It had been about an hour since he went to bed and I was sitting on my couch with Chris. I got up to get a glass of water and from the corner of my eye I see two eyes staring at me from around the side of my couch on the floor. It scared me so badly, I jumped and cried just a little. It was Avery laying on the floor, he had snuck out of bed and was hiding there all along. Little sneakster.

I was trying to come up with something memorable and cute about my love for makeup. I have an especially strong love for blush. It's a bit cheesy but oh well.

Hey there! I went shopping at Forever 21 and a few thrift stores over the past couple days and I wanted to share what I picked up. I am really ready for cooler weather, as you may be able to tell from the pieces I chose.
